The various ferns, mosses, lichens, fungi and other local flora are present in the Ecological Garden. All the plants for its collection are taken from the natural habitats of the different regions of Scotland.

Today, the Rock Garden is a large area of mounds and gullies, the winding streams and waterfalls cross it in the different directions. A unique environment is created here for thousands of alpine plants, many of them were grown from the seed, collected by George Forrest during his expeditions to China in 20^th century.

Heath Garden is full of colors almost all the year. Flowering plants forms an original mosaic. The painting of heath also contributes the overall diversity in the colorful picture, turning the corners of the garden into the carpet of gold, silver or bronze. Not far from it, is the Demonstration Garden, which serves as an eloquent illustration to any section of the textbook of Botany. It contains the variety of plant forms, with the different mechanisms of reproduction the plants. Individual expositions are devoted to the culinary herbs, medicinal plants, annuals and many others.
